Bill Petty was born and raised in Nashville. Drawing on a broad range of musical influences, Bill brings a lifetime of experience and passion for music, in complement to his energy and personality, to The Pointe, providing a firm foundation for his desire to pursue God's plans for his life and ministry. For Bill, it's all about the groove.
Bill attended Belmont College 1986-1990, earning a BBA. This was also the time Bill began dating his beautiful wife, Cinda. Together, Bill and Cinda have shared tremendous joy and blessings with their two precious children, Eve and William.
Bill's passion centers on much more than just music itself -- it is a passion for serving God and a desire to influence others through ministry founded in music and arts. God began moving on Bill's life in 1999, providing the opportunity to establish and hone Bill's skills as a minister and a musician while serving as Music Minister for WHGBC. In 2007, God introduced Bill to Pastor Todd Bush, revealing a common vision for a new ministry in White House, TN. - a "New Thing". (Isaiah 43:18) This vision has become reality through The Pointe church.
Bill also brings to the Pointe his talents as an award-winning vocalist and songwriter. His accomplishments include Male Vocalist of the Year for the 2008 CIA Music Awards, as well as a nomination for Christian Song of the Year in the 2009 Independent Music Awards. Songs from his first solo album project - Wonder - are heard world-wide on terrestrial and internet radio.
